Admissions & Student Outreach
During the 2024-2025 admissions cycle, I collaborated closely with the Admissions and Student Outreach team to build brand awareness for Cal State San Marcos and encourage prospective students to apply.
My responsibilities included promoting events like open houses, developing and publishing social media ads on Instagram and Facebook, writing copy for advertisements in local news outlets, photographing students and campus scenes for the university's website and social media, and co-producing a high-quality promotional video used in YouTube ads, on the admissions website, and at college fairs.

Cougar Blue Day
For this campaign, I was responsible for promoting Cougar Blue Day, an annual open house for prospective students and their families, on social media. In 2023, the first year social media was incorporated into the marketing strategy for this event, I contributed to a 60% increase in attendance. The following year, we experienced another rise in attendance.
I utilized both paid advertising through Meta Business Suite and organic reach for this campaign.
In Spring 2024, my colleagues and I conducted a focus group study with first-year students, which yielded positive feedback about both the event and the social media posts used to promote it.
Giving Day
In both 2022 and 2023, I led the effort to encourage students, family members, alumni, and the San Diego County community to support Cal State San Marcos during the National Day of Giving through organic social media posts. My contributions helped our team craft effective messages across all social media platforms, leading to two consecutive record-breaking years.
Additionally, I provided photographic elements and copy for the University Advancement team to enhance their social media advertising efforts.
