Lotería Cubana

This is a project highlighting the existing differences between traditions within Hispanic cultures. As a Cuban-American woman, I have found that Cuban culture is often overlooked or group together with other nationalities. For this reason, I wanted to emphasize how this can undermine the richness and uniqueness of my heritage within the Hispanic community. I did this in Lotería Cubana by "Cubanizing" the card game which the name refers to. While I am proud to call myself a Hispanic woman, I also wish that all Hispanic cultures were celebrated individually for their beauty and richness.
