The ephemerality of the soul and human spirit is not exclusive to ourselves, but to everyone that surrounds us. We often focus solely on our thoughts and we forget that there are others who have minds just as deep and complex as ours. The mission of this project is to make people think about life through the perspective of others and motivate them to look closer at the photographs presented here. It aims for the audience to look for hidden details that will hopefully inspire empathy.
I asked my models to have a conversation with me, confidentially telling me stories about themselves that overwhelmed them with emotion. This piece means to immortalize their expressions which, within the silence of a gallery and lacking the context of the conversations, contain an overwhelming mystery that invites us to reflect on how much each mind withholds.
